1. Where can I buy admission tickets to the Railway Museum?
You can buy your admission ticket at the main entrance of the museum or click here to buy your ticket in advance.

2. What are the opening hours of the Railway Museum?
Tuesday to Sunday 10.00am to 5.00pm. Closed on 1 January and 30th of April.
3. Is there a car park close to the museum?
Yes there is. Please note: the car park has a maximum capacity of 200 vehicles and fills quickly when busy, so you may need to park elsewhere. Remember that there is a shuttle train service running between Utrecht CS and the Railway Museum.
4. Can I reach the museum by train?
Of course! On Saturday and Sunday a special shuttle train runs between Utrecht Central Station and the Railway Museum. Tickets are available from NS touch screen ticket machines, at NS ticket offices and at the Railway Museum. At the NS ticket machine the ticket can be found under the ‘actie’ button. The train also runs from Monday tot Friday during school holidays.

Timetable From Utrecht Central Station to the Railway Museum Every Weekend and also from Monday to Friday during the school holidays Once per hour: 09.32 till 16.32 hours. Journey time 23 minutes.
Timetable From the Railway Museum to Utrecht Central Station Once per hour: 10.02 till 17.08 hours. Journey time 25 minutes. Departs from platform 1.
5. Is there an expiry date for the admission tickets?
Admission tickets are valid for one year. The date of purchase is printed on your ticket. Purchased tickets are non-refundable.
6. I bought too many admission tickets? Is it possible to return them?
Unfortunately it’s not possible to exchange or return admission tickets.
7. What is the advantage of buying my admission tickets on line?
During holidays and special events like Winter Station, it’s possible that there is a queue. With your online ticket you do not need to wait in line in front of the cashier, you can pass the queue at the entrance and enter the museum.
8. Are there special packages for groups?

9. Is it possible to book a package as a company?

10. Are pets allowed in the Railway Museum?
Pets are not allowed in the museum. We do make an exception for guide dogs.
11. Is the Railway museum easy to access for wheelchairs?
The museum is accessible by wheelchair. World 3 however is not accessible for wheelchairs.
