The Railway Museum has purchased a special model of the Locomotion. The Locomotion is one of the first steam locomotives in the world. The original locomotive was built in England in 1825 by George and Robert Stephenson for the Stockton-Darlington railway and is now in the Darlington Railway Center and Museum. The model was built by the 81-year-old Johan Bogaards from The Hague and now has a place in The Great Discovery where the Railway Museum tells the story of the railways’ early days
