Design model of VIP coach

Design model for a new executive coach, also known as the ‘VIP coach’, from the NS Advertising & Design department. In 1992, this department was tasked with replacing the old executive train from the 1950s, the Camel, with a newer design. With its futuristic appearance and the latest technology, this was intended to be a true flagship train for the NS. Costs for the coach were to be jointly covered by the Dutch sector. The Advertising & Design department came up with a streamlined double-decker with a single-storey engine driver’s cab at the front. While the design was modified on multiple occasions, it was never manufactured.
