Reserve your time slot

It is mandatory to reserve a time slot prior to your visit to the Railway Museum. Reserving a time slot is free and also required if you already have a valid admission ticket, such as a Museum Card, Vriendenloterij VIP-kaart, or a ticket from one of our promotional partners.

You can reserve a time slot via our ticket shop. If you are unable to visit on your selected date, you can cancel or change your time slot at a later time.

How to get here

You can visit the museum by bus, train, bicycle, or car. During events and holidays, the parking lot fills up quickly, so we recommend coming by public transport.

By train:
Travel in style to the Railway Museum by train and arrive right in the middle of the museum! From Utrecht Central Station, a train runs to our own station, Utrecht Maliebaan, once every hour. Check the NS journey planner for up-to-date departure times and purchase a day return ticket from NS for travel from any station in the Netherlands.

By bus:
From Utrecht Central Station, take bus 4, 8, 28, 50, 55, 73, or 77 and get off at the Stadsschouwburg bus stop. From there, the Railway Museum is within walking distance.

By car:
Enter: Johan van Oldenbarneveltlaan 1, Utrecht

Please note: if you are coming from the A2 motorway from the direction of Amsterdam, do not follow Centrum/Jaarbeurs, but drive via Stadion Galgenwaard.
