Note:  Visitors coming from the direction of Amsterdam on the A2 motorway should not follow signs for Centrum/Jaarbeurs but instead take the route past Galgenwaard Stadium.

Directions

From Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague
On the A12, keep to the far right > Ring Utrecht, Nieuwegein > Exit Hoograven (exit 18) > (under the A12) Hoograven – Lunetten > Exit Stadion, Centrum > see route 1 below.

From Breda and Den Bosch
A27 Utrecht – Amersfoort – Almere > Ring Utrecht-Zuid > Ring Utrecht, Nieuwegein > Exit Hoograven (exit 18) > direction Hoograven – Lunetten > Exit Stadion, Centrum > see route 1 below.

From Arnhem
On the A12, keep to the far right > Utrecht – Nieuwegein – Breda (A27) > Ring Utrecht-Zuid > Ring Utrecht – Nieuwegein > Exit Hoograven (exit 18) > Hoograven – Lunett > Exit Stadion, Centrum > see further route 1.

From Amersfoort
Drive out on the A28 towards Utrecht until you reach the traffic light > turn right at the traffic light > turn left at the roundabout towards Wilhelminapark > turn left towards Wilhelminapark – (from here you can also follow the signs ‘Railway Museum’) > see further route 2.

From Hilversum continue following A27 until > Exit: Veemarkt – Centrum – De Bilt > (Exit 30) turn right: Veemarkt – Centrum > Roundabout, turn left: Wilhelminapark > next roundabout, second right: Wilhelminapark > see further route 2.

Route 1
Turn left before the stadium; turn left at the traffic lights under the highway; Drive straight ahead – Rubenslaan (follow the sign ‘Museumkwartier’). Turn right at the canal – Tolsteegsingel. Then take the fifth street on the right (one of which is the railway crossing): into Johan van Oldenbarneveltlaan. You now see the Railway Museum in front of you.

Route 2
Turn left: Museumlaan; over the railway crossing; take the roundabout 3/4 and drive onto the Maliebaan (middle lane); at the end of the Maliebaan (opposite the bridge on your right) turn left into Johan van Oldenbarneveltlaan: You will now see the Railway Museum in front of you.
