The most recognisable model

Anyone who frequently travels by train in the Netherlands has ridden in a double-decker train. This model train from Lima depicts the DDM series of coaches which were first taken into service in 1985. The name is an acronym for dubbeldeksmaterieel, or double-decker stock. Through a partnership with the World Wildlife Fund, each train featured an endangered species, in this case a tiger. Thanks to its attention-getting yellow hue and the ubiquitous nature of double-decker trains in the Dutch railway, this is one of the most recognisable H0-scale models in our collection.
