Where little meets large. For three full days, Europe’s best model railway builders will display their latest model railways during On traXS. Prepare to be amazed by the most beautiful model railway tracks, set up among the life-sized trains of the Railway Museum.

Tijdens iedere editie van On traXS stemmen bezoekers op hun meest favoriete modelbaan.

Dit jaar ging die eer naar Sehr-am-Üzant van Alan Jockmans. Een fictief smalspoorlijntje slingerend langs een rustig, romantisch dorpje uit de negentiende eeuw. Keek je goed, dan ontdekte je steeds meer. In een kijkluik zagen we het dagelijks leven van de postbode. Schapen die rustig grazen langs het water. Een baan waar je naar blijft kijken.

De tweede plek is gegaan naar het Scandinavische landschap Bjørndalen. Les Billards du Vivarais kreeg met diens historische bouw de derde plek.

And the winners from 2025 are...

During On traXS, visitors vote for their favorite model railway. The On traXS Award is chosen by the adults, and the Kids Award by the youngest visitors.

The first prize went in 2025 to Bouy-à-Beze by MSC HET SPOOR, showing a narrow-gauge line on the French north coast with a charming little harbor. 2nd place was Gezicht op een dorp aan de rivier by Henk van Rhenen, and 3rd: Reseau 21, Rue de Haile by Vincent Cleren.

The Kids Award went to Rhätische Bahn Madiro by Diger Rossel, featuring the iconic red trains of the Rhätische Bahn in Switzerland.
